Alabama Blue Ribbon Tack Presents - Ask the vet???? Dr. Anna Thompson
Sat., January 28 ,2012
Alabama Blue Ribbon Tack is offering a unique opportunity to our customers. Dr. Anna Thompson will be at ABRT to talk with us about new therapies for lameness and equine health, items to have on hand in your own first aid kit, things to know about your horses health and answer any particular questions you may have about your horse.
Dr. Anna Thompson, graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science degree and went on to graduate from Auburn University€™s College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, she went to work at Harrington Equine Hospital. When the opportunity arose for her to open her own clinic, Anna followed her dreams and opened Ultra Equine in 2009. Ultra Equine is located just off of I-65 in Alabaster.
Dr. Thompson is an Alabama native, and has an extensive background riding and showing horses since the age of 5. This strong background gives her unique insights into issues pertaining to the equine athlete and also played a pivotal role in her decision to make sports medicine and rehabilitation her specialty. Her passion has always been for equine sports medicine and rehabilitation.
As a horse woman herself, Dr. Thompson understands the importance of preventative medicine and the critical role it plays in keeping a horse healthy and well-conditioned...whether the horse is used as an athlete or as a family pet. For more information visit her web site at http://www.ultraequine.com.
I hope that you will join us for this special event. This is a great opportunity! It is not everyday that we have an experienced veterinarian to answer our questions in this setting. A light lunch will follow.

4th Quarter news
Well the year is coming to a close and we have had another great year thanks to all of our great customers! The AHJA show was fun as we get to hang out and watch everyone ride their horses. The Plaid Paddock came for Friday the 2nd of December and personalized customers Christmas gifts. I think I could have kept them busy just with my own family! Everyone seemed glad to have that service available to them so we will do it again in the future. We will give away our AYR8 helmet away Christmas Eve so stay tuned to see who will win. We love to give back to the community that gives so much to us, and 2011 was no different as we supported many local charities, clubs and organizations with monetary and in kind donations to help support their causes.
The most exciting thing for us is our NEW WEB SITE!!!! We have joined with Harry Slaughter at E-Footprints and have what we think is a great and informative site. Stay tuned always for up to date information on everything horse. The site is very interactive too, and we would love your comments, photos, videos, reviews on products or interesting equine tidbits of any kind.
Merry Christmas to you all and I will see you in 2012!!
